Susan Richmond, Editorial Director

Hi, I'm Sue Richmond. I began my working career as a primary school teacher in Queensland and South Australia. After completing a graduate diploma in teacher-librarianship, I worked at the Wilderness School for girls in Adelaide.

I was the South Australian judge on the Children's Book Council of Australia Children's Book of the Year Awards for children's literature 1994-5.

Since returning to Queensland I have worked as a children's book consultant for Riverbend Books in Brisbane where I talk to teachers, teacher-librarians and parents about books for children and adults.

I am an editorial advisor for the Queensland Writers Centre.

Marilyn Naylor, Managing Director

Hi, I'm Marilyn Naylor. I started working in publishing many years ago with the Hodder Group. I worked first in London and later in Sydney where I assisted in the establishment of Hodder's inaugural Australian Children's Book List.

Just for a change, my husband and I moved to Mullumbimby in Northern NSW where we ran our own business for 12 years, selling lawn mowers, irrigation and farm machinery.

Since moving to Brisbane in 1992, I have been marketing manager for the American Book Store and I currently work part-time at Riverbend Books, where I love to do the window displays and talk to the customers about all different kinds of books.

I also work as a South-East Queensland Representative for Hachette Children's Books, selling their children's books to library suppliers, school suppliers and booksellers throughout south-east Queensland.
