About Word Weavers Press

Word Weavers Press is an exciting new Queensland Publishing House specialising in quality Australian children's fiction. It was established in Brisbane on 1 July 2001.

The directors, Marilyn Naylor and Susan Richmond, met at Riverbend Books, Bulimba, when the bookshop opened in 1998.

They realised the need for more quality Australian reading material for mid-upper primary children, particularly boys.

More good stories were needed that were not too long, not too short, not too easy but QUICK! So they created Quick Reads!
