Popular children's author, John Marsden, demonstrates how
to make Quick Reads as guest speaker at the Children's Book Council Conference in Perth on Sunday May 5, 2002.
Wearing a green apron, Marsden demonstrated how to 'cook' a Quick Reads. Ingredients included paper, pencils, words (8-10000, all cut up!), lollies, caffeine, alcohol and, most important of all, brains. He even produced some real brains from a butcher's bag.
